🐘 Amazon Pay secures payment aggregator licence from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)🇮🇳

🔴 Amazon Pay in India operates a consumer-focused mobile wallet which can be used for all forms of digital payments, including UPI.

🔴 According to RBI data, in January 2024 Amazon Pay issued 66 crore wallets. In that month, more than 4 lakh transactions were made with them.

🔴 The Central Bank of India began issuing final licenses to payment platforms since December 2023. Major players in the payments market, such as Razorpay, Cashfree, MSwipe, and Juspay, obtained them.
