⛔️ Ukraine 🇺🇦: Stricter controls on card-to-card transfers

A new directive from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set a monthly limit for P2P transactions at $3,643.5 USD, which must now be enforced not only by banks but also by non-banking platforms.

➡️ Payment platforms will need to enforce stricter financial monitoring, not only for casual users but also for those who frequently send and receive funds.

➡️ More rigorous control will be imposed on transactions conducted in marketplaces with their own financial entities, postal operators, and self-service terminals (PTKS).

➡️ It will be mandatory to survey customers about the origin of their income and verify it, in addition to monitoring operations and blocking transfers if discrepancies are detected.

➡️ The consequences of non-compliance may include fines or even license revocation. These restrictions will initially last for six months, with the possibility of extension.
