Google Pay has launched three new features, mainly available in the U.S. ๐บ๐ธ, highlighting the differences from Google Wallet.
โก๏ธ It includes an Autofill feature that uses a PIN or biometrics (fingerprint or facial recognition).
โก๏ธ Owners of American Express and Capital One cards who shop on Chrome will see the benefits of each card in the autofill dropdown menu. This will allow them to quickly determine which card offers the best advantages for the current purchase, such as cashback, bonus miles, and more.
โก๏ธ "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) Option, with the integration of installment payment services Affirm and Zip. This will allow users to split payments into smaller parts with low or no interest. Additionally, Google has incorporated artificial intelligence into its search engine. At the Google I/O 2024 presentation, the company announced significant changes to its most popular search system.
