📱Mastercard will end Manual Card Data Entry in the EU by 2030

Tokenization is the Future!
Thanks to this technology, shoppers who are accustomed to entering their 16-digit card numbers and personal data will now be able to make purchases with a single click.

🔠 Card numbers will be replaced by a randomly generated sequence. Currently, about 25% of Mastercard transactions worldwide are tokenized, but this number is expected to increase this year.

🔠 Security: the tokens themselves have no intrinsic value, so if stolen, they become worthless 🔠🔠🔠, thereby reducing fraud risks.

🔠 Ease of Use: a tokenized card doesn`t need replacement even if lost or stolen. Additionally, tokens do not have an expiration date.

🔠 Why will Mastercard launch decentralized finance in Europe? Europeans are more inclined to adopt innovations in the payment sector and implement open banking concepts faster than in the United States 🇺🇸.
