⚡️ Kazakhstan🇰🇿: Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit receives full license
This development follows Bybit’s initial licenses for operation and custody granted by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) in June 2023. It is important to note that the AIFC is an independent regulator separate from the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
▶️ Bybit Kazakhstan has undergone a comprehensive review process, including AML compliance, business ethics audits, and detailed regulatory checks.
▶️ Currently, in Kazakhstan eight cryptocurrency exchanges are licensed to operate legally, including Binance. Their activities are regulated under the "Digital Assets" law, enacted on February 6, 2023.
▶️ Important note: The Kazakh regulator has specific criteria that exclude certain digital assets from local exchanges. For instance, anonymous tokens are prohibited.
