🥳Colombia🇨🇴: Citizens enthusiastically join the new state-backed instant payment system #Bre_B

The official launch is scheduled for September 22, but on July 14, the Central Bank began registering user “keys”.

Bre_B uses unique identifiers that allow users to receive transfers without sharing their bank account number.

▶️ On the very first day, nearly 3 million new keys were registered, bringing the total to over 5.7 million.

▶️ Each user may hold multiple keys if they have accounts with different banks or digital wallets. If a key remains inactive for 6 months, financial institutions may block or deactivate it, requiring manual reactivation.

▶️ For the first three years, transactions will be free. Afterwards, a symbolic fee of 0.0016 USD per transaction will apply.
