👀What is this⁉️Google introduced its own blockchain GCUL

Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL) is positioned as a first-layer (L1) blockchain infrastructure for building innovative payment services and products for financial markets.

▶️The solution allows the use of smart contracts based on Python and is designed for commercial banks and other financial institutions.

▶️It is presented as a neutral infrastructure. For example, Tether would not use Circle, and a project like Adyenwould likely not rely on Stripe’s blockchain. However, GCUL can be adopted by any financial institution.

▶️Google’s network will operate as a private service, with access provided through API.

▶️Currently, GCUL is in the testing phase, and it is already being trialed by CME Group.
