🎉 Visa launched a new payment authorization tool

The solution, called Visa Intelligent Authorization, operates within the Visa Acceptance Platform and is designed to optimize payment processing for acquirers.

✨ The launch is driven by the growing use of digital wallets and stablecoins, as well as new commerce models —including agent-based commerce— which increase transaction volumes and data complexity in authorization systems.

✨ Reminder: authorization is a key stage in card payments. In this process, the acquirer sends a request through the payment network to the issuing bank, which decides within seconds whether to approve or decline the transaction. A significant portion of these operations is still processed through legacy systems, which may reduce approval rates, increase operational costs, and create compliance challenges.

✨ The new tool enables connection via a single API, instead of building or maintaining proprietary authorization infrastructure, and can function as both a primary and supplementary solution.

✨ The global average approval rate for transactions is 96.3%. Additional features include real-time analytics and payment notifications.
