⛔️ Visa banned card transactions of three Belarusian banks in the European Union (as well as in the United Kingdom🇬🇧, Iceland🇮🇸, Liechtenstein🇱🇮 and Norway🇳🇴)

The restrictions were introduced on March 18 and 19 affecting Belgazprombank, Belagroprombank and Alfa-Bank (Belarus).

➡️ Cards issued by these institutions can no longer be used within the affected territories to make purchases, execute transfers or withdraw cash from ATMs. The stated reason is sanctions, as confirmed by Visa.

➡️ The banks advised their clients to use Mastercard cards in these territories.

➡️ The Belarusian side continues to argue that the restrictive measures are unlawful, as they were not approved by the UN Security Council.
