📣Vietnam🇻🇳: by the end of the year Russian citizens will be able to pay for goods and services via QR code

With the support of the Russian-Vietnamese bank VRB, VTB customers will be able to make payments through their usual mobileapplication.

▶️VTB’s main international branches are located in India🇮🇳, China🇨🇳, and the aforementioned VRB in Vietnam. All of these branches are connected to local payment systems.

▶️VRB processes transactions in rubles and Vietnamese dong, and in 2024 its share of trade between Russia🇷🇺and Vietnam accounted for nearly 40%. It is the only bank in Vietnam that supports “Mir” cards.

▶️Regarding QR code payments, Vietnam operates a national standard based on the merchant-presented scheme: the merchant displays the code, and the customer scans it. The VTB application will be able to read these codes, and the payment will be processed through the local infrastructure.
