Following a recent agreement with Visa, TBC Uzbekistan is now expanding its service offerings through a strategic partnership with Mastercard. This collaboration is set to add significant value for Uzbek customers by facilitating the development of a local payments infrastructure.

The country’s demographics played a crucial role: Uzbekistan has one of Central Asia’s youngest and fastest-growing populations. Despite limited access to banking, the average age of 29 marks a strategic opportunity for fintech growth.

🐦‍⬛️ Interesting fact: TBC Uzbekistan’s international operations department is led by Oliver Hughes, former CEO of Tinkoff Group. In September 2023, he also assumed leadership of a similar department at TBC Georgia and is now driving the expansion of the Central Asian branch.
