🎉United States 🇺🇸: Venmo and PayPal users will finally be able to send money to each other
Although Venmo has been owned by PayPal since 2013, the two platforms were not interoperable — until now. Starting in November, that will change.
▶️The upcoming integration will benefit not only U.S. users but also customers in other countries.
▶️PayPal users will soon be able to find Venmo users through their phone number or email address. Those who prefer to remain unlisted can modify their privacy settings in the Venmo app, which will also apply to transactions by default.
▶️Context: together, Venmo and PayPal have a global user base of 2 billion people.
▶️Additional note: in July, PayPal announced the expansion of its payment network through partnerships with MercadoPago 🇦🇷, NPCI International Payments Limited 🇮🇳, and Tenpay Global 🇸🇬.
