📢 Ukraine 🇺🇦: New card-to-card transfer limits to take effect on June 1
Although the previous regulatory restriction on “card-to-card” transfers between individuals expired on April 1, 2025, new limits will be reinstated on June 1.
➡️ The change mainly targets transactions — especially those conducted via IBAN data — where the client cannot provide documentation verifying the origin of their income.
➡️ This measure must be implemented by banks that signed the “Memorandum to Ensure Transparency in the Payment Services Market.” Its goal is to prevent the misuse of cards and payment systems by fraudsters and criminal organizations.
➡️ Participating banks will not impose limits on transactions by clients with properly documented income, such as salaried employees and verified volunteers, in accordance with NBU Resolution No. 18 of February 24, 2022.
➡️ For clients classified as high risk, a fixed monthly transfer limit of 50,000 UAH (approximately 1,204 USD) will apply. Those deemed medium or low risk will be subject to a higher monthly limit of 100,000 UAH (approximately 2,408 USD).
