📢Ukraine 🇺🇦: gambling regulator PlayCity begins issuing licenses

Licenses will be granted not only to online casinos but also to B2B manufacturers of software and gaming equipment. The licensing process is conducted under the new regulations approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

▶️Requirements ❓— To obtain a license, applicants must demonstrate an “impeccable business reputation”, meaning they must not have ties to the aggressor state (Russia 🇷🇺) and must implement all necessary responsible gaming measures. These requirements apply both to new applicants and to current license holders, who have two months to submit documentation proving compliance.

▶️Revenue: according to the state agency, licensing is expected to add 50 million UAH (approximately 1,212,115 USD) to the state budget.

▶️Context: The National Bank notes that Ukrainians spend nearly 400 million UAH (around 8.7 million USD) daily on online platforms.
