✋ UAE🇦🇪: New payment technology with palm vein scanning

For the first time in the Middle East, palm scanning is being implemented for payments! The United Arab Emirates is about to launch the "Palm ID" technology, a futuristic system that uses the unique patterns of the veins in the palm to perform transactions without the need for cards or apps.

➡️ This innovative technology was developed by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), in collaboration with the Central Bank, and will be implemented in both the public and private sectors.

➡️ It will not only enable transfers but also allow for cash withdrawals at ATMs.

➡️ To access this system, citizens will need an Emirates ID and must register on the ICP platform.

➡️ The launch is planned in about a year and a half, while regulations for its public implementation are finalized.
Additionally, there are plans to integrate this technology into public transportation, providing an alternative for those who prefer not to use facial recognition.
