🏴‍☠️Trezor crypto wallets at risk following email service breach

🏴‍☠️Trezor crypto wallets at risk following email service breach

Hackers are sending phishing emails to users.

🪓 According to Trezor's statement on X, attackers breached a third-party email service used by the company and sent users fraudulent messages with the subject line Critical Security Alert: STM32 Entropy Vulnerability. Trezor is warning customers about the risk of clicking links in the email and says it has regained control of the email service and is investigating the incident.

🪓 Users expressed their dissatisfaction in the comments: “They outsourced practically everything to third parties. It's unfortunate.” This is already the second security incident involving Trezor in the past month, again through a third-party service. In mid-August, the delivery service ShipMonk was breached, exposing the personal data of nearly 14,000 customers publicly.

🪓 Trezor's cold wallets had still been listed among the best by CoinGecko in March. The incident is a reminder of the importance of maintaining good security practices and verifying links before accessing them.
