Stripe Updates in France 🇫🇷: Strengthening Positions in Europe

The American payment giant 🇺🇸 announced new successful partnerships and advanced solutions for French businesses. Since its launch in France in 2016, the number of Stripe users has grown to 100,000.

The Americans plan various innovations to attract the attention of the European public:

➡️ This summer, the Stripe platform will offer the Alma service (the main French provider of "buy now, pay later" services) - with over 4 million active users. It can be activated directly from the Stripe dashboard without the need for code.

➡️ The major retailer La Redoute has adopted the Stripe Optimized Checkout Suite (OCS). For the Americans, it's prestigious, and for the French partners, it means an additional 2% in revenue.

➡️ Well-known companies such as Accor, TF1, RMC Sport, and Mistral (a leader in the AI field) have started using various Stripe services. Overall, between 2021 and 2023, the number of French AI companies on Stripe has increased more than fourfold.

➡️ The new features of Stripe Terminal will help merchants combine online and offline commerce: the new smart reader Stripe Reader S700 (a fully customizable platform for individual business operations, suitable for accepting orders, offering loyalty programs, and collecting customer information).

➡️ Built-in integration with Cegid, the leading solution for unified retail. Companies using Cegid can now easily use the terminal to collect in-person payments without writing any code.

➡️ Stripe strengthens its partnership with CB, France's main payment system, which processes 15 billion transactions per year. By the end of 2024, they plan to activate CB on the Stripe terminal, helping merchants optimize costs and conversion (including Visa and Mastercard), regardless of whether customers pay with Apple Pay, credit card, or other means. Stripe authentication is sufficient.
