💣 Since March 12, VTB🇷🇺 customers can pay for purchases in Turkey🇹🇷 using QR code
VTB's technology and service are already available in Tajikistan🇹🇯 and Belarus🥔. A similar feature will be launched in the "Sber" app by the end of March.
💕 Payments are made in rubles, which are then converted to Turkish lira, with no additional fees. All that's needed is to point the VTB Online camera at the QR code on the receipt or terminal, and you're good to go!
💕 The transaction limit ranges from 10 to 350,000 rubles.
▶️ The service is available across Turkey. In addition, 95% of payment terminals in the country now accept QR codes, which were introduced in Turkey back in 2020.
💕 About "Sber": the new feature is still in testing phase. To make the payment, users must open the "Sberbank Online" app, scan the QR code at checkout, and confirm the payment.
💕 ...And that's not all! ‼️ MTS has also launched QR code payments for goods and services using Turkey’s national system, TR QR. Users can make fee-free payments via the My MTS app by selecting "QR Payment" in the "Money" tab and scanning the merchant's QR code. Payments are processed in rubles, with automatic conversion to Turkish lira at the exchange rate valid at the time of purchase.
💕 Context: In 2024, the flow of Russian tourists to Turkey increased by 6.3%, reaching 6.7 million visits.
