➡️ Underlying issue: The problem seems to stem from the involvement of currency exchangers in the operations.

➡️ Media silence: No official information has been released to the press so far, sparking faint hope that an “exemplary punishment” by the authorities might be avoided.

➡️ Key clarification: Do not confuse RapidPay with the former payment platform "Rapida," which ceased operations in 2017❗️. Notably, in 2014, "Rapida" was embroiled in a security scandal when hackers stole 160 million rubles. Although the perpetrators were eventually caught, the reputational damage proved irreparable.
