Vladimir Smerkis, co-founder of the “Blum” app and former Binance director for the CIS region, was detained this weekin a preliminary case involving crowdsales of TKN and TBX tokens. These crowdsales raised tens of millions of dollars, but the tokens disappeared or their value dropped to zero after listing.

💞 Background: Blum, a crypto trading app integrated into Telegram, launched in April 2024. In just one year, it surpassed 92 million users and currently has over 27 million active subscribers.

💞 Update: On Saturday, Blum’s press office announced that Smerkis had stepped down as Chief Marketing Officer and is no longer involved in the project.
