Due to the increasing cases of financial fraud, the Central Bank needed additional tools to protect customers. In the first quarter of this year, criminals stole 4.3 billion rubles from Russians — 400 million rubles more than in the fourth quarter of 2023.

➡️ All transactions that are presumably conducted without the client's consent will be blocked. For blocking, at least one sign from the list below is sufficient.

➡️ List of suspicious signs, which financial organizations must check against:

- A criminal case has been initiated against the recipient of the payment. The source of the information is not important, the main thing is that it is confirmed by a document.
- Unusual activity for the subscriber before the transfer of funds data from the mobile operator.
- The transfer was made to an account that is in the Central Bank's fraudster registry.
- The transfer was made to an account that, according to the banks' anti-fraud systems, has previously been used for fraudulent transactions (even if it is not in the registry).
- Unusual nature of the transaction for the client.
- The payment is made from a device that, according to the Central Bank, was used by fraudsters.

➡️ The client has 2 days to cancel the payment. If the sender claims that the funds were transferred voluntarily, the financial institution unfreezes the transaction; otherwise, the money is returned to the client's account within 30 days (60, if it is a cross-border transaction).

➡️ The funds will be returned to the client's account if the bank fails to contact the sender.

➡️ To contest the block, you need to contact the bank (a passport and a code word will be required).
