⚡️Qatar🇶🇦: The Regulator Promises to Review Its Stance on Cryptocurrencies by the End of 2024

The Gulf state banned Bitcoin trading in 2018, but now it is clearly preparing to reverse its decision.

🔠 Context: In May 2023, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) criticized Qatar for insufficient efforts to combat terrorism financing and urged the Qatar Central Bank to take stronger action against Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) that breach the cryptocurrency ban.

🔠 In the same month, the Qatar Financial Centre (QFCRA) began developing a legal framework to regulate investment tokens, with completion expected by the end of this year.

🔠 Meanwhile, a Digital Asset Lab has been established to promote innovation in the finance and digital asset sectors.
