#PIX, the most popular Brazilian 🇧🇷 payment system has become an export product

➡️ With the support of Getnet, Plexo and PagBrasil, PIX successfully landed in Uruguay🇺🇾 – right in the middle of the beach season. However, at the moment it is not for Uruguayans, but for Brazilian tourists (you won't believe it, but – yes: Brazilians love summer vacations in Uruguay). 🏖️

➡️ For example, in 2023, Brazilian tourists' expenses abroad amounted to nearly 13 billion USD. And there's a catch: purchases abroad with credit cards are subject to a federal tax of 4.38% on all transactions. So, when Brazilians use credit cards, they end up paying almost 12% more. But in PIX, the federal tax is only 0.38%... Feel the difference.

➡️ The main challenge has been to reach small businesses in Uruguay – that is, to establish partnerships with associates who have sufficient market potential to cover enterprises of any size. PIX plans to use the same strategy in other markets as well...

➡️ Which ones exactly? After Uruguay, the company plans to expand to Argentina🇦🇷, Chile🇨🇱, and Mexico🇲🇽, and then – to the USA🇺🇸, Portugal🇵🇹, France🇫🇷, Asia, and China🇨🇳.
