💪 Philippines🇵🇭: cryptocurrency exchange Binance seeks to return through a regulated sandbox environment
It should be recalled that in 2024 the exchange was banned by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) for operating without a license, but Binance has now partnered with fintech company BlockShoals Technologies, which will act as an approved local intermediary.
💕 BlockShoals participates in the regulated sandbox program (StratBox) and operates under the supervision of the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Binance selected the company due to its experience in capital markets, banking, and commodities.
💕 Under this partnership, Binance will provide technological, operational, and compliance support.
💕 The testing phase is expected to begin in the second half of 2026 and continue for at least two years. Users are not expected to gain immediate access to the full range of Binance services, as the rollout will be implemented gradually.
💕 Informational note: on April 21, the regulator warned investors that cryptocurrency platforms dYdX, Aevo, gTrade, Pacifica, Orderly, Deriv, and Ostium are not registered with the SEC and therefore their services are not recommended for use.
