📣Peru🇵🇪: International payments provider Paysafe relaunches PagoEfectivo with a new identity

The brand, previously focused on electronic cash, is now evolving into a digital wallet, in response to survey results from users in Peru.

▶️In its original format, PagoEfectivo enabled payments in sectors such as online gaming, e-commerce, tourism, and even allowed the purchase of cryptocurrencies. The revamped version introduces new functionalities, including payments via CIP codes, a unique identifier for local transactions.

▶️The new wallet will be available on Google Play for Android users — an operating system used by 86% of smartphone owners in Peru. The iOS version is under development and will be released soon.

▶️Regional presence: In addition to Peru, Paysafe operates in regulated markets such as Argentina🇦🇷, Brazil🇧🇷, Colombia🇨🇴, Mexico🇲🇽, Panama🇵🇦, Paraguay🇵🇾, and Puerto Rico🇵🇷.

▶️Added value for Peruvian users: as part of its cashback program, the app will feature “VIP experiences” tied to the national football team. With World Cup qualifiers underway, Peru remains in the race for a spot.
