๐Ÿ‘› Members of the European Parliament back plans to create an EU-wide digital wallet ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

They have agreed upon a new digital identity framework, granting EU citizens direct cross-border digital access to key public services. The key concept is "anti-fraud" and personal data protection.
๐Ÿ‘‰ It's a mobile phone application. For security (and transparency, of course...), open-source code is used.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The wallet allows the possibility of an electronic signature, as well as information exchange between different users.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The good news is that the use of the wallet is voluntary, meaning it's at your discretion.

๐Ÿ‘‰ For the resolution to become law, it still has to be officially approved by the EU Council of Ministers.
