🔻 Mastercard Agent Pay supports fully authorized transactions: during testing, AI agents initiated and completed purchases on behalf of cardholders across categories including beauty accessories, groceries, books, and digital goods. The system leverages existing card infrastructure, without requiring new frameworks.

🔻 To secure payment data, Mastercard Agent Pay uses Agentic tokens. Biometric authentication is enabled through Mastercard Payment Passkeys. Additionally, Verifiable Intent introduces a trust layer based on open standards, embedded directly into the payment flow, ensuring the integrity of cardholder authorization when AI agents act on their behalf.
