The European branch of U.S. fintech Robinhood has received authorization to offer custody, management, and transaction services with crypto assets in Lithuania, allowing it to also operate across the European Union.

💘 Lithuania is emerging as a key jurisdiction for fintech companies seeking access to the European market.

💘 Robinhood Europe already held an “A” category brokerage license, granted by the Bank of Lithuania, allowing it to operate as an investment firm.

💘 Context: In May, the Lithuanian Parliament extended the transition period for crypto companies to obtain a license until the end of this year. Currently, the Central Bank has received 29 applications, of which 10 are already under review.
