Latin America on the move! Brazilian fintech EBANX ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท will start operating in India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ under the brand "Yes Bank"

India will be the first Asian country where citizens can make cross-border payments with Ebanx, in local currency and using local payment methods. Consumers will have access to the products of companies that wish to enter the Indian market.

๐ŸŸข Yes Bank plans to start with digital services from SaaS companies (Software as a Service). The first payment package includes Spotify and AirBNB.

๐ŸŸข Customers have the option to pay with bank cards (including the local RuPay) or through the local payment system UPI.

๐ŸŸข EBANX's main competitors in India are platforms like PayPal, Stripe, and PayU. Other major players include Revolut and Tide, although their market share is not as significant.

๐ŸŸข Interesting fact: the company was founded in 2012 and by 2019 it already had a turnover of 1 billion USD. It currently operates in 18 countries, mainly in Latin America, but since 2022 it is also present in 3 African countries: South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria.
