😺 KONA I🇰🇷 to Manufacture IDEX Pay Biometric Cards for Mastercard

The South Korean IC chip card manufacturer has received approval to produce EMVCo-compliant cards.

💎 Biometric authentication via fingerprint, eliminating the vulnerability of four-digit PINs and reducing fraud risk.

💎 To pay with IDEX Pay, users simply touch the card’s sensor while tapping it on the terminal, with no need for an additional battery.

💎 Competition is also moving forward: in January, Visa certified the SECORA Pay Bio biometric card from Fingerprint Cards and Infineon in Japan🇯🇵, and the latter has already placed a large sensor order for implementation.

💎 Production capacity: KONA I estimates it can manufacture over 60 million smart cards per year, solidifying its position as a key player in the financial and government sectors.
