The scheme had been operating since 2025 under the guise of an online investment platform. Users were invited to watch a short video (a movie trailer), receive a nominal reward, and subsequently purchase an investment package priced between USD 23 and USD 336.

👕 The scheme promised returns of up to 10% per day, with funds funneled through P2P services into anonymous crypto wallets. It also featured a referral program offering payouts of up to 10% on referred users’ investments, along with bonuses for second- and third-tier participants.

👕 Authorities suspect the involvement of a woman in organizing the scheme. The case has been referred to court, and a travel ban has been imposed as a precautionary measure.

👕 The investigation was conducted by the Financial Monitoring Agency (AFM), which seized 1,057,599 USDT. The technical method of seizure—whether through access to devices containing private keys or via a request to the stablecoin issuer Tether—has not been disclosed.
