๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ Kaspersky Statistics: 2.3 million bank card thefts on the darknet between 2023 and 2024

The Kaspersky Digital Footprint Intelligence report is based on the analysis of logs from malware specialized in data theft, found in underground markets.

๐Ÿ’• Over the past two years, information stealers have compromised around 26 million devices, affecting both personaland corporate systems.

๐Ÿ’• In addition to financial data, cybercriminals steal credentials, cookies, and other sensitive information. On average, one in every 14 malware infections results in credit card data theft.

๐Ÿ’• The most commonly used malware in these attacks are Redline, RisePro, and Stealc. Redline is responsible for 34%of infections. However, RisePro has seen significant growth, increasing from 1.4% in 2023 to nearly 23% in 2024. Stealc, despite being a more recent threat, has grown from 3% to 13% over the same period.
