📣Japan🇯🇵: Stripe Terminal will help companies integrate offline and online commerce channels

Stripe aims to support Japanese merchants in expanding into the South Korean🇰🇷 market, incorporating local payment systems such as Naver Pay, Samsung Pay and PAYCO, as well as domestic cards including Shinhan Card, Hyundai Card, and Samsung Card.

▶️Before introducing this solution in Japan, Stripe conducted field research revealing that 70% of Japanese respondents face challenges with fragmented payment data. These insights helped tailor the product to local needs.

▶️Stripe Terminal supports Weixin Pay (also known as WeChat Pay), Tap to Pay on iOS, and integrates with PayPay, one of the country’s most popular QR code payment methods.

▶️The update also introduces the latest Stripe S710 reader, which provides merchants with cellular connectivity, enabling seamless offline payments.

▶️In addition, the company has strengthened its fraud prevention system with Stripe Reader (3D Secure 2), boosting authorization speed by 25%.

▶️Extra note: Inforich, a portable battery-sharing service, selected Stripe Terminal for its unified development module and multilingual support on a global scale.
