⛔️ Italy🇮🇹: the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) ordered the blocking of 190 gambling platform websites

ADM
maintains a special register of illegal domains, which is continuously updated. Internet service providers were ordered to implement the necessary restrictions and notify the regulator no later than August 20, 2026.

➡️ This measure is administrative in nature and does not constitute a judicial decision concerning a specific company associated with the domain in question. Instead, ADM exercises the powers granted by law to instruct communications service providers to restrict access when, in the agency's view, online gambling services or related advertising activities fall outside the applicable regulatory framework.

➡️ ADM's actions are based on Article 102 of Decree-Law No. 104 of August 14, 2020, subsequently converted into Law No. 126 of October 13, 2020.

➡️ Since April 2026, the redirection mechanism used for blocked websites has been updated. The regulator introduced the HTTPS protocol, replacing the previous practice of redirecting users to a static IP address. The current page informs visitors that access has been restricted in accordance with the measure adopted by ADM.

➡️ A website may become unavailable to users in Italy, even when the technical infrastructure supporting the service is located outside the country.
