⚡️...Interesting indicator of current trends: according to a Binance public opinion survey, 76% of respondents believe that cryptocurrency can be a tool to address income inequality globally.
➡️ The survey was conducted from November 15th to December 6th, 2023. Sample: 1172 participants from Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
➡️ Nearly half of the respondents (45%) stated that their main goal for using crypto is earning additional income. Following that, savings (19%) and inflation hedging (9%) were mentioned.
➡️ Over a third of the survey participants (36%) use cryptocurrency for weekly transactions. Among them, the majority (58%) use crypto for online purchases, covering a wide range of goods and services.
➡️ Participants also reported on the positive impact of cryptocurrency on their lives:
👉20% noted an increase in the value of their investment portfolios.
👉18% mentioned the opportunities to earn additional income through trading or betting.
👉15% gained broader access to financial services.
👉14% feel more comfortable due to improved financial control.
👉12% benefit from faster and more cost-effective cross-border transactions.
➡️ Based on these positive numbers and the trend towards social justice, the research authors conclude that cryptocurrency can be used as a new innovative opportunity to rethink traditional financial systems and create new models of wealth distribution.
➡️ The main criticisms of the old financial systems are high fees (mentioned by 19% of respondents) and transaction slowness (14%).
➡️ Some contextual information: according to the global Chainalysis cryptocurrency adoption index, India 🇮🇳 is the largest market for crypto in Central and Southern Asia and Oceania (CSAO). The second and third places for crypto and blockchain adoption are occupied by Nigeria🇳🇬 and Vietnam🇻🇳.
