🐘 India🇮🇳: The regulator seized cryptocurrencies worth 10 million dollars from the "E-Nugget" gaming app

It turns out that the game platform was a scam and, after getting money from the users, it blocked the withdrawals.

🚩 The frozen funds were stored in 70 accounts associated with ZebPay and WazirX — Binance cryptocurrency wallets… A quite unpleasant situation for the exchange, which already faces significant challenges in India. Frictions with the regulator started in 2022 due to this same issue.

🚩 During the investigation, around 2500 fake bank accounts were also discovered, from which 2.27 million dollars were confiscated.

🚩 All the funds were transferred to the Indian Enforcement Directorate (ED).
