🐘 India🇮🇳: Google's digital wallet will collaborate with over 20 local brands

Consolidating in the world's most populous country is the priority. Meanwhile, the Google Pay app will continue to be a separate platform designed for P2P payments.

➡️ Primarily, Google's wallet partners consist of online service providers, rather than retailers. Notable among them are PVR and INOX (for purchasing cinema and event tickets, exclusively available for Android users), Air India, Air India Express, as well as travel agencies like MakeMyTrip and Ixigo.

➡️ The wallet payment function is not available (for now, at least), but the purchased/reserved services can be stored, approximately, in the cloud (for example, an airplane boarding pass or digital documents).

➡️ Not all Android devices are compatible with Google Wallet. As of June 10, the app will stop working on devices with Android version 9 (Pie) or lower, or Wear OS lower than 2.x.

➡️ The use of the wallet is free.
