😳India🇮🇳: Cabinet approves bill banning real-money online betting and slots

▶️Violators may face up to 3 years in prison or fines of up to 1 crore rupees (USD 120,000). Organizers and advertisers may be sentenced to 2 years in prison and fines of up to 50 lakh rupees (USD 57,269).

▶️Key point: players themselves will not face prosecution, as they are considered victims of exploitative systems rather than criminals.

▶️The bill is expected to be introduced in Parliament soon.
