❗️ In the Netherlands🇳🇱, a motion is presented to completely ban gambling advertising

The party that has stood out is the Christian Democratic Call (CDA). They propose an initiative aimed at eliminating advertising on on-demand streaming services, social networks and in direct mail. With this measure, it is expected to protect young people and "vulnerable groups" from the bad influence of high risk.

🔣 In July 2023, the government implemented a prohibition on various forms of advertising (in public places and media), however targeted advertising was still allowed.

🔣 The measures aim to stablish a general limit of 350 euros on deposits and losses in online casinos, and players will not be able to increase it by themselves.

🔣 The Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) made it clear that the ultimate goal is to ensure that 95% of those who see targeted ads are over 24 years old.

🔣 Online games have also been impacted: furthermore, there is a proposal to implement a global gaming limit for Dutch providers.
On March 5, a vote will be held on all these matters in the House of Representatives. This will enable an assessment of whether the new initiative will garner the required support.
