😱Ghana🇬🇭: regulator introduces mandatory biometric verification for all forms of gambling

The Ghana Gambling Commission (GCG) has given operators 14 days (from receipt of written notice) to submit a compliance plan and 16 additional days to integrate the required tools into their operations.

▶️Ghana’s national ID card is now the sole valid identity document for online gambling. All licensed operators must directly integrate their systems with the National Identification Authority database. Alternative IDs will not be accepted.

▶️Facial scans or fingerprints will be required before any bet is placed and again before winnings can be withdrawn.

▶️Additional note: Ghana’s population is 35,064,272, with a GDP per capita of USD 2,338.
