⚡️Gambling in the Netherlands: review of license holder data on the agenda

The Dutch Gambling Authority (KSA) has strengthened oversight of the Central Database (CDB), which stores information on licensed gambling operators.

▶️The goal is to tighten compliance checks.

▶️Context: gambling and betting in the country are regulated by the “Gambling Act” (WOK). This law sets out the rules for licensing, fair play and player protection, granting the KSA the authority to supervise and enforce compliance.

▶️Recent cases: just days ago, the KSA issued a warning to TonyBet for offering prohibited football-related betting markets. Similarly, ZEbet and Starcasino were warned after temporary withdrawal issues. In the next quarter, the Authority plans to check whether companies have implemented the required updates and corrections.
