💣 EU: French fintech Numeral🇫🇷 launches "Payee Verification" service

VOP — the Payee Verification service — was developed as part of a strategy to combat fraud in the authorized push payment (APP) segment. This service requires PSP providers to offer their clients verification of payee details before executing bank transfers.

▶️ Numeral's Payee Verification service will allow financial institutions to comply with the EU's VOP regulation, with a deadline for implementation set for October 9, 2025.

▶️ The process will include synchronization of account data via SFTP, API, manual upload, and real-time API connection, without altering existing operations.

▶️ Numeral will manage routing and verification mechanisms (RVM) in accordance with the EPC and will participate in pilot phases of the scheme.
