😠 EE. UU. 🇺🇸: Apple Pay y otras billeteras digitales bajo la supervisión de la CFPB
New regulations are targeting major companies, leaving small businesses untouched (for now).
💡 Big players on alert: Banks, credit unions, fintechs, and non-bank payment platforms processing over 5 million annual transactions will be subject to the new rules. This primarily impacts PayPal, Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta, Block, and peer-to-peer services like Venmo and Zelle.
💡 The main regulatory focus is on retail transactions made via digital wallets.
💡 Exclusions:
🔵Cryptocurrencies are not included in this regulation.
🔵Payment apps exclusive to a store, like Starbucks, are not covered by the rule.
💡 The rule will take effect 30 days after being published in the Federal Register, meaning it will be active before the New Year.
