📈 EBANX🇧🇷 expands its payment infrastructure into Pakistan🇵🇰 and LATAM

The company is preparing to begin operations in Pakistan🇵🇰 and launch Apple Pay support in LATAM.

🟢 Brazilian fintech🇧🇷 EBANX is preparing to integrate its payment infrastructure in Pakistan during the next six months. The first alternative payment methods (APMs) will be local wallets JazzCash and Easypaisa, each with more than 50 million users, followed by the instant payment system Raast.

🟢 Reference: e-commerce spending in Pakistan is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 22% through 2030. As a result, the Pakistani online market could triple during this period. The share of credit card holders among Gen Z is below 10%, making mobile wallets a key factor for market access.

🟢 Since September 2026, EBANX has been implementing a new operating model for Apple Pay, taking responsibility for token decryption, certificate and security key management, and end-to-end compliance with the PCI DSS standard within its own infrastructure. This relieves merchants of the technical burden while making transactions faster and more cost-efficient.

🟢 Payment processing through tokenized wallets increased the share of approved transactions by 11 percentage points compared with standard card payments, reaching 94.4%. The average transaction value was 23.5% higher than for standard card purchases.

🟢 EBANX is the only fintech (PSP) providing local acquiring across all 11 markets in Latin America and the Caribbean where Apple Pay operates.
