😱 Crypto exchange MEXC stops serving clients from Russia🇷🇺 and Belarus🇧🇾

Experts advise against opening futures positions even for those who have not yet received a restriction notice.

🟦 Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC announced that it will stop serving clients from Russia🇷🇺 and Belarus🇧🇾 due to the “need to comply with international regulatory requirements.” Clients who have received individual notifications must close their positions and withdraw their funds within the specified deadlines:

▪️ Starting October 24, placing new orders and opening positions will no longer be possible.
▪️ On October 28, all existing positions will be closed.
▪️ November 4 is the final deadline for withdrawing funds.

🟦 MEXC is registered in Seychelles🇸🇨 and headquartered in Singapore🇸🇬. Despite the sanctions, the platform had continued serving clients from Russia🇷🇺 and Belarus🇧🇾. However, the case of cryptocurrency exchange HTX🇨🇳🇸🇨, which was included in the EU's🇪🇺 21st sanctions package over its links to Russia, has raised concerns across the industry. Platforms already licensed in the EU face the greatest exposure to this risk; MEXC has not yet obtained a European license.
