⚖️ Chile🇨🇱: the state lottery continues its legal action against online betting operators by filing another complaint

Polla Chilena de Beneficencia has accused 11 gambling platforms of operating and attracting players without the required authorization. The complaint also requests an investigation into the origin of the funds and the possible existence of a criminal association.

🔣 The complaint was filed on August 20 with the Fourth Guarantee Court of Santiago and was admitted for consideration the following day. The case materials will now be investigated by the Public Prosecutor's Office.

🔣 The platforms named in the complaint include Estelar Bet, Coolbet, Betsson, Betano, Jugabet, 1xBet, Micasino, Rojabet, Novibet, LatamWin and Juega en Línea.

🔣 The investigation focuses on the movement of funds generated by online betting. In this context, Polla requested a review of bank accounts, financial statements and ultimate beneficial owners, as well as transactions and mechanisms used to distribute profits.

🔣 Regarding payment service providers, the complaint requests contracts, transaction records, internal alerts and information concerning their regulatory compliance procedures. The entities potentially subject to review include Transbank, a long-standing participant in the Chilean payments market.

🔣 Polla is asking the court to investigate whether the companies mentioned constitute a criminal organization, if a stable organization with a defined structure, hierarchy and distribution of functions is established.
