Brazilian regulator 🇧🇷 tightens control over bettors

As of October 1st, the activity of unauthorized companies has been suspended. This measure is based on Law No. 14,790, passed in 2023, which sets the conditions for the legality of operations.

➡️ A representative of the Ministry of Finance warned that the regulation process will proceed in two directions: first, removing agents unwilling to comply with the established rules; and second, closely monitoring companies that have applied for authorization, ensuring that they meet all legal requirements.

➡️ Special attention will be paid to advertising campaigns, especially those involving digital influencers and affiliates promoting online betting.

➡️ Another critical point is the practice of money laundering through betting. Currently, more than 100 companiesare under surveillance for fraud and schemes aimed at exploiting players.
