👀Brazilian progress🇧🇷: When going out, 3 out of 10 people do not take their wallet with them.

This data is part of a study called “Retail Report 2024” conducted by Adyen in collaboration with the Center for Economics and Business Research(Cebr). As part of the study, conducted from January 15 to February 1, 2024, 2,003 consumers and 518 companies were surveyed in Brazil.

➡️ Digital transactions account for 31% of the total number of transactions.

➡️ 26% of respondents believe that the government may stop using cash within the next year, and another 31% believe it will happen within 3-5 years.

➡️ About 18% of respondents want to complete transactions with just a few clicks, entering as little information as possible.

➡️ Adyen experts believe that the biggest incentive for digitizing payments has been the Brazilian Central Bank's payment system #PIX.

➡️ Ahead of the world: Brazilians are leading the global average in security technology. 30% already use biometric data for authentication in online or in-person transactions, compared to 18% in the rest of the world.

That's cool.
