The official approval of these apps marks a new step in the expansion of regulated gambling in Brazil.

➡️Google has updated its policy and now allows betting apps to be available in its official store. To be accepted, platforms must have a license issued by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance (SPA).

➡️According to Folha de São Paulo, in May 2025, sports betting websites recorded over 2.7 billion visits, with 67% of users accessing directly via mobile or desktop browsers.

➡️This new Google policy represents a strategic shift for the sector, facilitating access to regulated operators.

➡️In context: Brazil currently has over 200 regulated betting sites, and each can operate between 1 and 3 domains. To obtain a license, companies must pay a government fee of USD 5,388,000, valid for 5 years.
