🆘 Brazil🇧🇷: Secretariat of Prizes and Betting suspends operations of 14 licensed betting brands
Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA), under the Ministry of Finance, has ordered the suspension of operations of 14 licensed betting brands after identifying breaches related to player monitoring and the mandatory transmission of information to the Betting Management System (Sigap).
The measures include the temporary disconnection of equipment and systems used by the affected operators.
🟢 The so-called “preventive measures,” including license suspensions, were imposed pursuant to Articles 44–46 of Law No. 14,790/2023 and Articles 31–33 of SPA/MF Resolution No. 1,233/2024.
🟢 Sigap is one of the main supervisory tools in Brazil’s regulated betting market. The system enables authorities to monitor betting volumes, gross gaming revenue and compliance with regulatory requirements in real time. Operators are also required to submit information on player registration and access to betting platforms.
🟢 Failure to comply with these obligations can result in significant financial penalties. In addition to license suspensions, the affected operators are subject to a daily fine of up to USD 38,557 for as long as the violation persists.
🟢 The operators involved:
👉 Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas. Blocked brands: pixbet.bet.br, ganhei.bet.br and betdasorte.bet.br.
👉 Zeroumbet digital platform. Operator of the zeroum.bet.br, sportvip.bet.br and energia.bet.br brands.
👉 Enseada Serviços e Tecnologia — kbet.bet.br.
👉 Select Operations with mma.bet.br, betvip.bet.br and papigames.bet.br.
👉 Nexus International with megaposta.bet.br
👉 RR Participações e Intermediações de Negócios with multibet.bet.br, rico.bet.br and brx.bet.br
🟢 For customers of the suspended platforms, the measure means they will no longer be able to place new bets. Users will only be able to withdraw the funds available in their accounts, in accordance with the rules applicable to the suspension process.
📌 The episode further underscores the increasingly strict stance adopted by Brazilian authorities toward compliance with monitoring and data-reporting obligations. As the regulated market continues to take shape, oversight of licensed operators and their integration with Sigap have become key elements of the SPA’s enforcement strategy.
